So far I've been to Fresco's twice and both times were fantastic. The food is so good and the service was excellent.. additionally the music that was playing were straight up bops and happy hour goes until 8! What could get better than that?!

One of the best places in the neighborhood for some good Mexican food. We showed up a little late (an hour before closing) and had to order right away bc they close the kitchen 30min before closing time but nonetheless everything was good. The chicken empanadas are much better than the beef. The burger was really good and the grilled chicken burrito was fantastic! I'm not a huge fan of their drinks but I'm looking forward to coming back and trying more stuff.

3.5 stars Gave it a 4 for great service! Came for lunch on a sunday and it was empty, which worked out for us since we had a baby in tow. The corn appetizer was delicious. We got the ropa vieja over nachos which isn't on their menu but it was really tasty and worth the upcharge! I wish they allowed us to mix the tacos but you must order them in 3s so we got the al pastor and the fish. I had high hopes but it was just okay. The al pastor was too sweet, needed more acid. The fish had too much breading. Overall a decent spot for apps and drinks! And its close to the noguchi museum if you need something to eat after!

We came on a Friday and there was a decent number of people there, especially to partake in the HH specials. My bf ordered a beer and I tried their sangria. The sangria was pleasant though it was slightly on the sweeter side if you enjoy that as well. Food wise, we ordered Los Tres Amigos (grilled chicken, steak and shrimp skewers) and a side of chips and guac to start. For our entrees, my bf got the surf and turf (shrimp and steak) tacos and I ordered the fish tacos. These came with the house sauces on the side (green was mild and red had a nice kick). The skewers that we had as appetizers surprised me since I wasn't sure if the grilled chicken would be tough or not (it was actually cooked well and juicy). The fish tacos were crispy and delicious. I added both house sauces and like the mild with the fish tacos though a little bit of the red mixed with the green sauce gave it a pleasant kick. My bf enjoyed the steak tacos as well but liked the fish tacos slightly more! Our waiter was really friendly and helpful when we had questions or asked for recommendations. We definitely plan to come back! This place would also be good for groups depending on where you sit.

I give it 4 stars because I deducted for their service. We arrived and was told to pick a table for two. We did and was told about the happy hour menu which ends at 8pm. I ordered the red sangria off the happy hour menu. The waitstaff was lacking as they wouldn't check up on us often enough. Instead they would forget to refill waters and had to be told multiple times. Forget about bringing the check and etc... The food was good which is while the service was lacking I let it slide a bit. Decided not to order appetizers as we opted instead for desserts. For entree I ordered the Chuleta Al Caballo which is a marinated sliced skirt steak tossed in their house-made chimichurri sauce. I ate every last bit and had nothing left over. I would like to try their fajitas and other entrees on the menu next time. For dessert we ordered Mexico City and the Churros. The Mexico City was really delicious - it had Fried Banana Caramel cheesecake eggroll, tossed in cinnamon sugar. It's drizzled with dulce de leche sauce served with vanilla ice cream. The churros was alright nothing amazing so if you want to try a dessert try Mexico City.
